Following the success of their recent production, Bench Stories, Miserable Brilliance Ensemble is proud to announce their upcoming show, Stories on the Rocks. The company was founded in 2012 by New York Film Academy acting instructor Anthony Montes, and a group of acting graduates.
“When I first joined the Miserable Brilliance Ensemble, I noticed right away that everybody was a hard worker,” says ensemble member Sophia Monti. “Each and every one is very serious about their careers, and I really felt like I belonged, like I was going to be challenged as an actor. I hope that now when it’s time for our show to go up, the audience will see that we have created something original, exciting and that we’re well on our way to becoming a professional theatre company.”
The new production, Stories on the Rocks, is already getting buzz, and was featured on the cover of this week’s Burbank Times. It is described as a collection of six 10-minute plays “where redemption, revenge, and reconciliation become the alcoholic mixture in the relationship cocktail. It is a show that will have you laughing, crying, cringing in your seat, and possibly heading for a stiff drink afterwards.”
Stories on the Rocks runs from February 9 to March 17, with shows on Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 7 p.m. at the Missing Piece Theater in Burbank. Advance tickets are $12, or $15 at the door. The show features participation from Sara Blindauer, Kika Cicmanec, Michael Dvorak, Tina Fy, Alex Genther, Desi Ivanova, Valentina Kolaric, Sam LaFrance, Won Lee, Roxanna Medina, Sophia Monti, Anthony Montes, Charlotte Plummer, Meghan Anne Riley, Yoshua Shelton, Adam James Shirley, and William Smith Walker.
