Nine-time Emmy Award winner Jane Hanson will be visiting the New York Film Academy on Thursday December 19, to meet with students in the NYFA Broadcast Journalism program. Hanson helped establish the popular “Today in New York” program at WNBC-TV as a leader in local news programming, serving as co-host for 15 years. One of her Emmy Awards came for hosting the series “Jane’s New York.” She also co-hosted the series “New York Live.”
Ms. Hanson will be talking about the rigors of broadcast journalism, both in the field as well as in the studio. She will also discuss the unique challenges women face in the media, as they look to find a balance between career and family.
This special Q&A session will take place at the New York Film Academy’s 17 Battery Place campus on Thursday, December 19 at 10:00am. Non-students and potential students interested in attending should contact Broadcast Journalism Chair Bill Einreinhofer.
