Our story guru, Oscar-winning screenwriter James Lecesne, recently released a highly-anticipated new book called THE LETTER Q, a collection of sixty-four “Life-saving letters from a glittering wishlist of top authors” to their younger selves. James edited the letters from a treasure trove of contemporary greats, including Michael Cunningham to Jacqueline Woodson to Armistead Maupin. Moreover, in his secret life as a Broadway actor, James and company in The Best Man were honored with a Tony nomination for Best Revival. He’ll be playing opposite acting legends James Earl Jones and Angela Landsbury. A documentary filmmaker, he received an Academy award for his short film TREVOR which later inspired the creation of The Trevor Project, the only nationwide suicide prevention hotline for LGBTQ youth. A writer, filmmaker, teacher, and philanthropist, we applaud James for his work and dedication. We are also proud to call him one of our own. Stay tuned for a Q&A interview with James on his book, his career, and his teaching at the New York Film Academy. UPDATE: Click here to read our interview with James!
