Visual Effects are a staple in almost any film or television program that you see today. Digital effects are used to enhance, manipulate and create images that add richness and depth to the overall scene. Adobe After Effects software frees a film editor from the limitations of the existing image on the screen. With the ability to use After Effects, you can create spectacular show openings, dazzling show titles, broadcast quality special effects and animations.

The Evening After Effects Workshop will meet three nights each week for twelve weeks. Students will work at individual computer stations, and will focus on digital imaging, video concepts and animation. Topics include keyframing and layers, alpha channels in Photoshop, parenting and nesting, typing and animating text, rotoscoping, compositing with masks and rendering.
