Offered at the New York Film Academy’s Los Angeles campus, students can choose to enroll in the undergraduate BFA or graduate MFA photography degree programs. For students uncertain whether to make a three- to four-year commitment, they can enroll in our one- or two-year conservatory program in NYC or LA and apply their coursework toward credit in a degree program.
The BFA photography degree program can be completed in either three years without taking summer breaks or four years with summer breaks. In addition to receiving hands-on education in the many different technical and aesthetic demands of photography, BFA students also take a full course load in Liberal Arts and Sciences to help them develop the critical thinking skills that will help them well after they complete the program. The MFA photography degree program is a two-year commitment spread over four semesters for students with a background in photography to participate in an accelerated program dedicated to developing students’ photography skills.
Included in the tuition for the MFA, BFA, One- and Two-Year is a state-of-the-art Canon DSLR camera, which students keep after completing their program.
