Drama Del Rosario

Bio

Drama Del Rosario is a Philippines-born, Los Angeles-based documentary filmmaker. Most recently, he was awarded a BAFTA-GSA Commissioning Grant in the amount of $8,000 for his film I’m Okay (and Neither Are You). It was also recently announced that his BAFTA-nominated documentary film “In This Family” is an official selection for the prestigious Oscar-qualifying Doc Edge Pride Festival in New Zealand. The powerful, 12-minute short tells the story of his Filipino family’s reaction to finding out their son is gay. He also made a 15-minute short, “Act Like a Woman,” about Angel Qinan, a Filipina transgender woman searching for the American dream in Hollywood.

In 2020, Del Rosario’s film In This Family was the Official Jury Winner for the PBS Short Film Festival.
