Kane SenesDIRECTOR | WRITER | PRODUCER

Kane Senes is an award-winning filmmaker from Sydney, Australia. In 2009, with short film Forfeit of Grace, Senes was nominated for Best Young Australian Filmmaker at the Byron Bay International Film Festival. In 2010, his thesis short, A Relative Stranger, won Best Film at multiple international film festivals, among other awards and nominations.

Following the success of his short films, Senes co-wrote, produced and directed his debut feature film, Echoes of War (2015), starring James Badge Dale, Ethan Embry, William Forsythe and Maika Monroe, the psychological thriller won a Special Jury Prize at the Dallas International Film Festival before being distributed worldwide.

Senes’ follow-up feature, For Now, which he also starred in, was nominated for best picture in multiple film festivals and was acquired by Amazon Prime. Senes developed his third feature, the social-horror Sissy, with his producing partner at their production company Dog Park Pictures. Sissy is premiering at SXSW 2022!
