Mohamed Al SalmanFilmmaker

Mohamed Al Salman is a Saudi film director, writer, and producer. He is a NYFA 1-Year Filmmaking Conservatory program alum and most recently created a feature film Raven Song, which was selected to represent Saudi Arabia for the 2023 Academy Awards.

Al Salman originally began his career in electrical engineering and made the switch to filmmaking after gaining an interest in short film creation. Two of his short films, 27th of Shaban and Curtain, are on Netflix as part of the Desert film collection.

The NYFA alum is known for his works on Raven SongCurtain27th ShabanTongueAmongst, and Six Windows in the Desert.
