Sherry Lansing is a Hollywood producer and former chairman and CEO of Paramount Pictures. She also became the first woman to head a major Hollywood studio after being named president of production at 20th Century Fox, and is the first female movie studio head to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She is widely considered to be one of the most successful executives in Paramount’s history, overseeing the production of three Best Picture winners and several box office hits, including TitanicBraveheartSaving Private Ryan, and Forrest Gump.

Speaking to students at our Los Angeles campus in 2017, Lansing told students, “You should always write from the heart.”
