Timothy Olyphant

Bio

Timothy Olyphant began his acting career in theater in 1995’s The Monogamist before branching out to film. He starred as a villain in a number of films, most notably Scream and Go, before landing a role in HBO’s epic western series Deadwood. This led to his landing the role of Deputy US Marshal Raylan Givens in FX’s modern-day western Justified, for which he was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. Most recently, he starred in Netflix show Santa Clarita Diet alongside Drew Barrymore.

Olyphant joined NYFA at the Los Angeles campus to discuss the strengths of various acting techniques and strategies for finding success in the industry.
