Learn 3D Animation Online at NYFA
NYFA’s online 3D Animation & VFX workshop provides aspiring visual storytellers with the opportunity to create their own unique game content. Students will learn to use industry-standard software, which may include Autodesk’s 3D Maya, MotionBuilder, Motion Capture, Pixologic’s ZBrush digital sculptor, SideFX’s Houdini FX, Chaos Group’s V-Ray, and Foundry’s Nuke compositing and editing program. No prerequisites or prior experience is required to attend.
Online 3D Animation Workshops
To accommodate all schedules, NYFA offers an immersive online workshop for 3D Animation & VFX. Beginners will gain foundational 3D animation skills and knowledge and more advanced students will have the opportunity to refine their craft. To learn more, request information from our admissions team.
The 4-Week Online 3D Animation & VFX Workshop covers basic introductions to modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, rendering, compositing, and VFX. In this full-time, intensive course, beginners gain foundational 3D animation skills and knowledge and more advanced students have the opportunity to refine their craft.

Technical Requirements
To attend our online workshops, students must have a reliable computer, external hard drive, strong internet connection and a quiet place to work. Please note there may be some additional costs for software costing up to $165. This will depend on the student’s choice to use either trial versions for free or to purchase software with provided student discounts.
