Kids Camps in NEW YORK CITYOur Campus For Kids Summer Camps
The New York Film Academy's classes for tween students are located at The Dwight School at 18 west 89th Street. The closest subway is a B/C subway stop at 86th street that has an exit/entrance a block and a half away from the school on Central Park West. There is also a 1 train stop at 86th street and Broadway which is a short walk to the school. A ten-minute train ride brings students to the door steps of Columbia University, and Harlem, or a twenty-minute train ride brings students to Chinatown, Coney Island, and the Brooklyn Bridge. Film shoots - student, commercial, and Hollywood - abound in New York. Simply by volume alone, New York is indisputably the greatest center of independent film production in the world. Like many filmmakers, novelists, playwrights, and painters, our students find that New York itself helps shape their artistic vision. The city is not only a setting for their stories, but also an active element in the lives of their characters.
