Karen Hua is an Emmy nominated reporter, currently working as a national correspondent for CBS News. She reports across the network’s flagship platforms—including CBS Mornings, the CBS Evening News, and CBS’s 24/7 streaming service—covering major news developments, regional stories across South and Middle America, and in-depth human interest reporting.

Karen joined CBS News in early 2025 after three years at NBC10 Philadelphia, where she reported on a broad range of topics, with a particular focus on the AAPI community, public safety, and gun violence.

Previously, Karen reported for News 12 New York and KGET, the NBC affiliate in Bakersfield, California, where she covered stories such as Hurricane Ida and its aftermath, earning an Emmy nomination for her coverage. She has also written as a lifestyle contributor for Forbes.
