Learn How To Write a Script at NYFA
Designed for teens interested in learning how to write a script, NYFA’s screenwriting summer camps provide an in-depth introduction to the craft. In these programs, students aged 14-17 can practice writing in an immersive environment, studying under the guidance of our experienced faculty of professional screenwriters. Our screenwriting programs are currently offered as in-person, on-campus summer camps , as well as online camps.
Camps : Level I
During our level one camp, students can build upon their natural talents and learn the best practices of screenwriting.
Students will use their time in our in-person camp to practice their writing skills and work towards writing an original script. The in-person camp is a full-time summer program. While a number of our teen programs have an additional selection of level two programs, our screenwriting camp is currently available as a level one program only.
Throughout our online screenwriting camps, students from all over the world can join and learn remotely with NYFA.
During our virtual 3 and 4-Week camps, teens write their own original script (7-10 pages long), learning the screenwriting process from start to finish. Students will learn from our experienced faculty from multiple NYFA campuses, studying and participating in a live classroom setting. These full-time, remote day camps are offered during the summer.
NYFA camp alumni often apply their experience at our teen camps to pursue creative long-term goals in documentary filmmaking, web content, content creation, production, media, and more.
Please note that the successes of any NYFA alumni are the result of their individual hard work, perseverance, talent and circumstances. The New York Film Academy cannot guarantee that any future graduate will achieve similar success or secure a position in the industry.
