Learn About NYFA’s Admissions Department

At the New York Film Academy, our aim is to make the admission process as simple and accessible as possible for all students. The New York Film Academy’s admissions department is available to help you with any of your questions regarding admissions, housing, financial aid, study abroad options and international travel. In addition, our online admissions department is here to answer all of your questions, from when and where a program or workshop begins to what the requirements are to apply and enroll.

Choosing a school to enroll in is one of the most difficult choices a student faces and at the Academy, we make it our priority to provide all of the information prospective students require to decide if NYFA is the right school for them. Established in 1992, the Academy has since grown into an international institution, having expanded its course offerings from filmmaking and acting to keep up with the ever-evolving world of visual storytelling. Whether students are interested in such classic form of expression as musical theatre or dance, or newer forms like game design and 3D animation, the Academy has the facilities and the distinguished faculty to give students the best education possible.

Central to the Academy’s philosophy is our belief that to learn how to create art, one must make art, whether that takes the form of the many original films our students make, the one-of-a-kind video games, or original photographs. After all, to succeed in an industry where one must create original and compelling visual stories, the Academy makes it a priority to prepare students to produce outstanding work alongside pointed career advice that helps our graduates realize their goals.

Thus, our admissions department is dedicated to providing prospective students with all of the possible information they need to decide if the Academy is the right institution for them. If you do not find answers to your questions in the above links, please do not hesitate to contact us at our film schools and acting schools at any of our year-round locations. Students interested in enrolling at our New York City campus can call us at +1 (212) 674-4300 while those students wishing to take classes at our Los Angeles campus should reach us at +1 (818) 333-3558.
