Build Voice, Movement, and Performance Skills
In our summer musical theatre camps and workshops for teens, aspiring performers aged 14-17 can pursue their interest in musical theatre, learning essential performance skills under the guidance of our experienced faculty. During these dynamic programs, students are challenged to elevate their abilities in dance, voice, and acting while working in a professional, supportive environment. At the conclusion of the camps, students participate in an exciting final performance for friends and family.
NYFA currently offers in-person, on-campus summer camps and weekend camps. We also offer online programs on a seasonal basis.
Musical Theatre Summer
Camps: Level I
In NYFA’s level one camps, teens rapidly build fundamental skills for the stage, learning under the guidance of musical theatre instructors with recent professional credits in Broadway, off-Broadway or regional productions that range from Finding Neverland, Beautiful, Phantom of the Opera, Matilda, The Lion King, Chicago, and more.
From the very first day of NYFA’s level one musical theatre camps, students develop new skills in song interpretation, tap, ballet, and jazz. Throughout the camps, teens learn how to present themselves in auditions and performance, preparing them to understand the unique challenges of musical theatre.
Musical Theatre Summer
Camps: Level II
While level one camps offer an introduction to musical theatre, our level two camp provide an opportunity to continue building essential skills in performance.
In this level two camp, students strengthen and advance their audition, voice, dancing, and acting skills while learning more advanced material and techniques.
