Brenda VaccaroACTRESS | ACTING INSTRUCTOR

Academy Award-nominated actress and New York Film Academy acting instructor Brenda Vaccaro joined students at the LA campus in August 2011 for a screening of the Oscar-winning film, Midnight Cowboy. The acclaimed actress is also well-known for her numerous theatre, television, and film roles, including her recent appearance in You Don’t Know Jack with Al Pacino.

She shared her experiences working on Midnight Cowboy, and said, “We all got this sense that this was a different kind of film than anything we had ever seen.” She also took the opportunity to turn the tables, asking questions back to the audience about what it was like to be starting in the industry. Brenda added, “The minute you take the word ‘rejection’ seriously, you’re out of the industry.” Vaccaro was also on staff at NYFA as an instructor for a period of time.
