David Gale is an executive and award-winning producer who is currently serving as Exec. VP Development and Production at Gunpowder & Sky. Before joining G&S, Gale co-founded and was CEO of We Are The Mighty, a media brand focused on hiring and telling the stories of our military veterans.

In 1995, Gale ran MTV Films, where he oversaw the release of 28 films, that grossed more than a billion dollars box office and opened seven movies to #1 in their first weekends including Beavis and Butt-head Do America, Jackass: The Movie, Varsity Blues, The Wood, Original Kings of Comedy, Save The Last Dance, Coach Carter, and The Longest Yard.

The division also released Academy Award-nominated movies and Sundance winners such as Election, Murderball, Hustle and Flow, Justin Lin’s Better Luck Tomorrow, and the cultural phenomenon Napoleon Dynamite.
