Derek Kolstad is an American screenwriter and producer, most widely known as the creator and writer of iconic franchise John Wick starring Keanu Reeves. Kolstad penned the original screenplay for John Wick, which has become Lionsgate’s most profitable franchise with two sequels, a VR game, a mobile game, and a probable third sequel, as well as a planned scripted TV adaptation that he is executive producing. He also recently wrapped as a co-executive producer on the highly-anticipated Disney+ series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier for Marvel Studios.
