Writer Heather Hach has penned the screenplays for box office hits including Freaky Friday and What to Expect When You’re Expecting, starring Cameron Diaz, Jennifer Lopez, and Elizabeth Banks. Hach joined students at New York Film Academy’s Los Angeles campus following a screening of Freaky Friday, sharing her story about how winning a writing competition and being awarded a position as a staff writer launched her career as a successful screenwriter. Hach also shared some of the mistakes she had made early in her career before finding success, telling students that failure was a vital part of success.
