Initially an indie film favorite, actor Jon Favreau has progressed to strong mainstream visibility into the millennium and, after nearly two decades in the business, is still enjoying character stardom as well as earning notice as a writer/ producer/director. Best known for his work on Swingers and Iron Man, Jon Favreau visited students at New York Film Academy to discuss his long and varied career and the difference between work on indie films and big-budget blockbusters.

Favreau is the executive producer on the popular Disney+ show The Mandalorian, and will executive produce the upcoming The Book of Boba Fett and Ashoka series for the streaming platform.  Favreau is also slated to direct the upcoming The Jungle Book 2.
