3-Week Musical Theatre Camp II for Teens

Enhance Voice, Movement, and Performance Skills

In our 3-Week Musical Theatre II Camp, NYFA welcomes back returning students who have graduated from one of our prerequisite musical theatre programs. During this hands-on camp, aspiring performers aged 14-17 continue to build upon their fundamental skills in performance, dance, acting, and voice. Through additional training and guidance from our experienced faculty, students are challenged to take their abilities to the next level.

Program Description

Camp Name: 3-Week Musical Theatre II Camp for Teens

Prerequisite: 3 or 4 Week Musical Theatre Workshop

The 3-Week Musical Theatre II Camp for Teens is an opportunity for students to enhance the performance skills explored in prerequisite camps. In this level two camp, students advance their techniques in workshops such as Pop Rock, musical improv, voiceover, and Broadway choreography. Similar to our level one program, in this program, aspiring performers will work under the guidance and direction of NYFA’s Musical Theatre School faculty who have recently appeared or are currently working on Broadway, off-Broadway or regional shows that may include Phantom of the Opera, Finding Neverland, The Lion King, Chicago, and more.

At the conclusion of the camp, students will participate in a final presentation for family and friends. In preparation for the camp, students must come prepared with two contrasting songs from the musical theatre canon and one song from the pop rock genre, as well as ballet slippers, jazz shoes, dance clothes, and a three-ring binder.
