Michael Gallagher was born in San Diego, California. He began his career on YouTube, where he has garnered over 1 million subscribers and was one of the original co-founders of Maker Studios, which is now a division of Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media’s Disney Digital Network.

Gallagher is a director and writer, known for Funny Story (2018), Internet Famous (2016), Smiley (2012), and The Thinning franchise.

He is currently in pre-production of his next film The Cult.
