It’s the dream of every filmmaker who graduates from our programs to have a manager sign you and produce your feature film. That alone is a major accomplishment. In the case of One-Year Filmmaking graduate Chris Lofing, he tackled both feats and, just recently, released his horror feature The Gallows in theaters nationwide!
In less than a month, his low budget film ($100k production) has already grossed over $35 million. With proof of profits for his investors, Mr. Lofing will have the opportunity to work with almost anyone in Hollywood.
Last month, we had Mr. Lofing return to New York Film Academy Los Angeles, where his young filmmaking career began. After a screening of his film, he and his filmmaking partner Travis Cluff spoke to a full house of students about how he went from being in the very same seat as them to having a Hollywood hit in theaters everywhere.
