David Yazbek has had a varied career as a recording artist, TV and film writer, music producer, and pianist. Yazbek has since become one of Broadway’s preeminent composer/lyricists. His five shows The Full Monty, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown, The Band’s Visit, and Tootsie have all been nominated for Best Score Tony Awards and The Band’s Visit receiving ten Tonys, including one for Yazbek’s score.

He’s also received 5 Drama Desk awards, an Obie, 2 New York Drama Critics awards and a Grammy award.
