The New York Film Academy is pleased to offer one and two-week summer camps for kids (ages 10-13) in Filmmaking and Acting for Film at Los Angeles, CA.
The summer camps for kids meet Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 4 pm with a one-hour lunch break. Occasionally class may go until 5:00 pm. A schedule for the duration of the camp is given to both students and parents on the first day at Orientation.
A final screening is scheduled on the last Saturday of the camps. All participants in all programs will receive a digital copy of their work.
Our kids summer camps at Los Angeles are day camps only and do not offer housing.
Students are welcome to bring their own lunch or can purchase a lunch plan on the first day of class using the caterer that we hire for the summer. Details about this will be sent out in the spring.
Students are supervised by teaching assistants and/or instructors from the time they are dropped off in the morning until the time they are picked up.
We do not provide housing for the kids’ camps; they are day camps and for commuting students only. However, we do have many attendees who come from out of town and stay in the Los Angeles area, either with friends, family or in a hotel or corporate housing for the duration of the workshop.
Please contact us and we can provide you with a list of nearby hotels that are within a 5-15 minute driving distance to the school.
