NYFA’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Council recently hosted a live discussion about tv writing and producing with creator, showrunner, and executive producer Tanya Saracho.

During the live Q&A, moderated by NYFA Screenwriting instructor Dafina Roberts, they not only discussed Saracho’s transition from playwriting to screenwriting, running and staffing a writers room, but also the importance of authenticity in storytelling and the art of writing diverse Latinx characters, stories and worlds from an intersectional perspective.
