Filmmaker Maria Fernanda Belmar is a student of the NYFA Filmmaking MFA program in Los Angeles and director of the film, Undocumented. Taken from her own family’s experiences, Undocumented went on to screen across several film festivals including the First-Time Filmmaker Sessions, Life Screenings International Short Film Festival, and Lift-Off Film Festival. The film was selected for the South Texas International Film Festival. The director’s film was also screened in NFMLA’s annual Latinx and Hispanic Event in 2020.

Fernanda Belmar also has credits in editing for short films and television series, including No longer perfectBonnie and Bonnie, and Comedy Parlour Live: Quarantine Edition.
