Pedro Álvarez Gales realized his true calling for documentary film when he worked in post production for two presidential campaigns in his home country of Venezuela. He then studied with New York Film Academy’s Documentary Filmmaking department in the 1-Year Conservatory documentary program in 2013.

Álvarez Gales has since gone on to work with major industry production companies like Vice and Netflix. He worked on Netflix’s hit documentary FYRE: The Greatest Party That Never Happened, and recently worked as an editor for the Netflix documentary Tiger King.
