In May 2022, we had the pleasure of welcoming Award-winning Actor Kimberly Huie as part of The 20/20 Series, created by NYFA’s Creative Director of Filmmaking and Cinematography, Liz Hinlein.

Kimberly Huie is an award-winning actor, writer, and producer. She has an extensive list of film and television credits from Canada and the US. Some credit highlights include Good Sam, SELF MADE: Inspired by the life of Madam CJ Walker, Grey’s Anatomy, Rookie Blue, CSI Miami, and Andromeda. She is currently recurring as Grace on the nighttime drama The Kings of Napa on OWNtv.

Kimberly is a graduate of the Second City Toronto Improvisation program and has trained at Circle in the Square Theatre School and the Atlantic Acting School in New York City. Kimberly is a versatile and accomplished storyteller; a love of language and laughter inspired her short film, The Intervention. It has been shown in film festivals across North America and the Caribbean and received multiple awards.

Born in Jamaica and raised in Canada, Kimberly Huie came of age in France. She speaks both French and English fluently and divides her time between Toronto and New York.

The 20/20 Series is a pop-up event that takes us into the homes, hubs, and workspaces of an array of dynamic creative visionaries to allow for relaxed, engaging conversations on craft, creation, and artistic vision. Each conversation with a creative visionary features 20 minutes of discussion with a moderator and a 20-minute Q&A from YOU, the audience.
