In June 2021, we welcomed Feature Editor Marc Sedaka as part of The 20/20 Series, created by NYFA’s Creative Director of Filmmaking and Cinematography, Liz Hinlein.

After receiving his BA from Cornell University and MFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, Marc Sedaka quickly established himself as a successful screenwriter with numerous credits, including New Line Cinema’s Overnight Delivery starring Reese Witherspoon and Paul Rudd. Amongst his many TV credits, Marc wrote for CBS’s The King of Queens, NBC’s Inside Schwartz and had a blind script deal with Sony Pictures Television. Since receiving his 2nd MFA in editing from AFI in 2018, Marc has cut dozens of high-end shorts and five feature films. His most recent release, What Lies Below, starring Mena Suvari and Ema Horvath, came out theatrically in December.

The 20/20 Series is a pop-up event that takes us into the homes, hubs, and workspaces of an array of dynamic creative visionaries to allow for relaxed, engaging conversations on craft, creation, and artistic vision. Each conversation with a creative visionary features 20 minutes of discussion with a moderator and a 20-minute Q&A from YOU, the audience.
