Held at the Academy’s New York City, Los Angeles and South Beach campuses, students looking to earn a degree in Acting for Film can choose to enroll in our undergraduate Associate of Fine Arts (AFA) or Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree programs or in our graduate Master of Fine Arts (MFA) degree program. In addition, for students still deciding if a degree in acting is right for them, they can choose to enroll in our one- or two-year conservatory programs at our NYC or LA campuses and then apply their coursework toward credit in a degree program.
Students interested in the BFA degree program can choose to either complete the program in three years if they select not to take summer breaks or in four years otherwise (South Beach campus only offers their BFAs in three years). While the AFA and MFA programs focus solely on the craft of acting for film, students enrolling in the BFA program will also take a full course load in the Liberal Arts and Sciences to best round out their undergraduate education. The AFA takes up four semesters and MFA takes up 5 semesters over the course of two years.
For specific goals, outcomes, and courses, please read the Campus Catalog for the location you would like to attend.
