Allen J. RedwingWRITER | PRODUCER | DIRECTOR | U.S. VETERAN

Born and raised in Memphis, TN, Allen J. Redwing is a writer, producer, and director. While in high school, Allen interned at the Playhouse on the Square in Memphis, TN and developed a passion for writing. After being published in the Seoul American Newspaper and having received numerous international awards for his work, Allen was selected by United States Forces – Korea | United Nations Command to serve as a combat documentation photographer where he traveled the country documenting dignities and special unit visits for his command. Upon returning to the United States, he served as Recruiter and Station Commander in the New England Recruiting Battalion.  Allen decided to take forty-five days leave from his military duty in 2011 to attend a filmmaking workshop at New York Film Academy with the hopes of one day becoming a filmmaker. This intense and rewarding experience impacted his life tremendously and led to him to return in 2013 (upon retirement from the US Army) to purse the One-Year Filmmaking Conservatory Program where he has been recently selected by Variety Magazine as one of 110 Students to Watch globally for his tenacity, talent, and storytelling.
