CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY FOR NEW YORK FILM ACADEMY NEW YORK CITY SHORT TERM WORKSHOPS AND ONLINE WORKSHOPS
Should a student’s enrollment be terminated or cancelled for any reason, all refunds will be made according to the following refund schedule:
Students must officially withdraw and submit a Refund Request form to the registrar’s office in person, by electronic mail, or by Certified Mail.
A student who officially withdraws before the first day of class from all courses will be refunded the total tuition minus all institutional fees.
Students who officially withdraw from all courses after the first class will be refunded on a prorated basis up to 40% of the semester, or in the case of a short-term program, up to 40% of the program. After 40% of the semester or program (short-term only) is completed, there will be no refund.
Title IV Financial Aid will be refunded according to the Federal Title IV Refund Formula.
TERMINATION DATE In calculating the refund due to a student, the last date of actual attendance by the student is used in the calculation, unless earlier written notice is received.
GROUNDS FOR TERMINATION A student’s enrollment can be terminated at the discretion of the institution for insufficient academic progress, non-payment of academic costs, or failure to comply with rules and policies established by the institution as outlined in the catalog.
ACKNOWLEDGEMENT This document constitutes a binding contract between the New York Film Academy and the student and no further modification or representation except as herein expressed by both parties will be recognized.
REFUND PROCESS The full refund process can take up to thirty (30) business days. The application fee, processing fee, all housing fees and deposits, all credit card convenience fees, and the International Student Fees (ISF) are not refundable.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY FOR NEW YORK FILM ACADEMY TEEN AND KIDS CAMPS
The following policy applies to all New York Film Academy camps.
To enroll and hold a place in the camp, the student may submit a $500 deposit ($50 for Online programs), which is non-refundable and will be applied towards the tuition. Full payment is due no later than 30 days prior to the start of the camp.
If the student cancels enrollment in the camp, the following applies:
- $500 ($50 for Online programs) is not refundable under any circumstances unless the New York Film Academy cancels the program. Program fee (minus the $500 deposit for on-campus or $50 for Online programs) are refundable until 60 days prior to the start of the program. No refunds are available after 60 days prior to the start of the program.
- In order to cancel, an enrolled student must contact our admissions office in writing. Failure to cancel prior to the 60-day deadline will result in a bill for the full program fee.
- All housing (for on-campus programs only) is non-refundable under any circumstances.

The following policy applies to all New York Film Academy Florence workshops.
To enroll and hold a place in the workshop, the student may submit a $500 deposit, which is non-refundable and will be applied towards the tuition. Full payment is due no later than 30 days prior to the start of the camp.
If the student cancels enrollment in the workshop, the following applies:
- $500 is not refundable under any circumstances unless the New York Film Academy cancels the program. Program fee (minus the $500 deposit) are refundable until 60 days prior to the start of the program. No refunds are available after 60 days prior to the start of the program.
- In order to cancel, an enrolled student must contact our admissions office in writing. Failure to cancel prior to the 60-day deadline will result in a bill for the full program fee.
- All housing is non-refundable under any circumstances.
