Director/producer Fraser Heston visited students at New York Film Academy’s Los Angeles campus in November 2011 to share his film “Charlton Heston & Ben-Hur: A Personal Journey.” The film about his father was included as a companion piece on the 50th anniversary Blu-ray release of “Ben-Hur. It is a portrait of the actor as he prepared for his legendary role, told through personal stories, archival footage, and home movies. Fraser talked about growing up with a legend for a father, describing him as very loving and caring. He joked, “I won the parent lottery. But as a kid, I probably imagined he was a professional charioteer.” Fraser also discusses his own film work, including the recent documentary, “The Search for Michael Rockefeller.”
