Producer Janet Yang, President of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences (AMPAS), spoke at New York Film Academy in May 2021 for a DEI-led Q&A celebrating Asian American and Native Hawaiian/Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month. Yang spoke about her career, projects and Asian representation in Hollywood.

The NYFA Guest Speaker served on the Academy’s Producers Branch since 2002 and recently served on the board as Vice President and Chair of the Membership Committee. She is also Co-Chair of the Academy’s Asian Affinity Group.
