The Brooklyn-born photojournalist, known for his conflict photography, visited NYFA in 2015. Renowned for his unflinching and honest conflict photography, Stanley Greene is an award-winning photo journalist who has covered an array of human tragedies for more than 30 years. Before his work covering wars and conflict, he was a painter and then a music and fashion photographer for Newsday. Mr. Greene was a founding member of Noor agency and authored numerous books including Western Front, Black Passport and Open Wound. He passed away, after an extended battle with liver cancer, in 2017.
