Learn 3D Animation Online at NYFA
NYFA’s online 3D Animation & VFX workshop provides aspiring visual storytellers with the opportunity to create their own unique game content. Students will learn to use industry-standard software, which may include Autodesk’s 3D Maya, MotionBuilder, Motion Capture, Pixologic’s ZBrush digital sculptor, SideFX’s Houdini FX, Chaos Group’s V-Ray, and Foundry’s Nuke compositing and editing program.
Unlike other online courses, in NYFA’s Hands-Online workshops, you will meet your professors and your classmates in the virtual classroom, share your ideas and collaborate on your projects. This is not just a series of videos to watch and prompts to answer like many other online courses. The NYFA hands-online workshop is a real studio course in the online environment. No prerequisites or prior experience is required to attend.
Online 3D Animation Workshops
To accommodate all schedules, NYFA offers an immersive online workshop for 3D Animation & VFX. Beginners will gain foundational 3D animation skills and knowledge and more advanced students will have the opportunity to refine their craft. To learn more, request information from our admissions team.
The 4-Week Online 3D Animation & VFX Workshop covers basic introductions to modeling, texturing, rigging, lighting, rendering, compositing, and VFX. In this full-time, intensive course, beginners gain foundational 3D animation skills and knowledge and more advanced students have the opportunity to refine their craft.

To attend our online workshops, students must have a reliable computer, external hard drive, strong internet connection and a quiet place to work. Please note there may be some additional costs for software costing up to $165. This will depend on the student’s choice to use either trial versions for free or to purchase software with provided student discounts.
