At the New York Film Academy’s film school, faculty members and curriculum are focused on providing students with the real world know-how to help them succeed in the film industry. Below are some of the positions and networks in which our alumni have worked:
Learn Documentary Filmmaking at NYFA
In NYFA’s Documentary Filmmaking workshops, students can explore the world of non-fiction filmmaking, learning the fundamentals of producing, directing, camera, lighting, sound recording, and editing.
Following NYFA’s learn-by-doing approach, students receive hands-on documentary filmmaking training, and build new creative and technical skills through the creation of their own short documentary films. No prior experience is required to attend. People interested in pursuing educational goals in documentary filmmaking or wanting to learn how to tell non-fiction stories for social media are encouraged to apply. NYFA currently offers a series of full-time and part-time in-person and online workshops.
