1-Week Film Acting Camp for Teens

Learn Introductory and Basic Acting Skills

NYFA’s dynamic one-week acting camp gives teens the chance to explore their interest in acting for film. In just a week, students aged 14-17 build basic acting skills through in-class instruction and on-camera exercises. Studying under the supervision of professional actors and directors, students learn how to tap into their natural talent. No experience is required to attend.

Program Description

Camp Name: 1-Week Acting for Film Camp for Teens

In our summer acting camp for teens, students learn essential acting techniques and how to put them into practice on-camera. As the program is a week long, students study at a rapid pace. Students complete a series of assigned monologues, voice, movement, and improvisation exercises, and take specific classes for audition technique and scene study.

Throughout the camp, students learn under the guidance of working actors and directors in an environment similar to a film set, helping them understand the challenges of the film, entertainment, and television industries. As a final project, students perform a monologue in front of a camera. The monologue is directed and recorded by our faculty, then edited by our in-house editor. At the end of the camp, students receive the edited version of their project on film.
