NYFA MFA Acting for Film alum and Trinidad and Tobago native, Gina Parris, has more than a decade of experience in the entertainment industry as an actress, writer, and producer. During her early days as an actress in Trinidad, Parris performed in the World Laugh Festival (2011, 2012, 2013), Yangatang Tent, Caribbean Woman (Dir. by Trinidad native Hollywood actor Sullivan Walker), Treasure Island: The Musical, and T.V series Starvey’s Angels, where she played Gaga the Witch.

Parris is a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, Women in Film LA,  and Powerful Ladies of Tinidad and Tobago. In 2022, Parris was also inducted into the Marquis Who’s Who Biographical Registry, where individuals are profiled and selected based on position, accomplishments, visibility, and reference value.

The alum is CEO if her own production company, Gina Parris Entertainment Ltd., and produced, written and acted in Like A Dog With A BoneA Visual Guide to Surviving in the Entertainment Industry, The Honest Honestest Truth, and the award-winning film, A Twist of LifeShe also co-produced Gangsters, a film that went on to win 29 awards.
