1-Week Summer Acting Camp for Kids II

Learn Acting Skills at NYFA

In NYFA’s 1-Week Summer Acting Camp for Kids II, students who have completed the previous level-one camp may return to extend their studies in acting for film. During this program, aspiring performers aged 10-13 gain on-camera experience through performing filmed scenes and monologues.

Program Description

Camp Name: 1-Week Acting Camp for Kids II

Prerequisite: 1-Week Acting for Film Camp

During NYFA’s 1-Week Acting for Film Camp II, students continue to work with our experienced faculty of active actors and directors to build up their skills in film acting. Throughout the camp, students participate in exercises, games, and group activities that help them practice given circumstances, partner, and moment to moment work, as well as blocking. The hands-on nature of this camp helps students work on their memorization skills and audition techniques.

As a final camp project, students complete two contrasting monologues, which are recorded by our faculty and edited by our in-house editors. At the end of the camp, students receive a USB drive with a copy of their work. Students may also invite family and friends to a special end-of-camp presentation. Throughout the camp, students must bring their own lunch.
