Our three-year Bachelor's is for highly motivated students who would like to enter an intensive hands-on professional course of study. By completing the Bachelor's degree in three-years students:
  • Save one year of expenses
  • Enter the field of their choice a year early
The Academy makes this accelerated schedule possible by creating an extended academic year allowing students to complete three full-length semesters in each calendar year. Students may also choose to complete the program in a traditional four-year time frame.

New York Film Academy BFA degree programs are offered at our Los Angeles and South Beach Campuses.

The NYFA Bachelor of Fine Arts is designed for undergraduate students who wish to integrate intensive professional training with a comprehensive liberal arts education. The BFA degrees in Filmmaking, Acting, Screenwriting, Producing, Photography, Animation, Game Design, Graphic Design, and Illustration are a rigorous mixture of hands-on experiential work, employing state-of-the-art facilities and equipment, and a rich academic curriculum. NYFA graduates are fully prepared for their chosen career path and find their unique education to be a bona fide steppingstone to real world engagement in the performing and entertainment arts and allied professions.

Located next to Warner Bros. Studios in Los Angeles, California, NYFA's BFA programs are literally at the center of the American entertainment industry. Beyond the opportunity to interact in their classroom and studio training with mentors who are working professionals and educators, NYFA students are exposed to a cultural environment that far exceeds those offered in the art programs at most liberal arts colleges and universities.

In addition, NYFA also offers BFA degree programs in Filmmaking, Acting, and Photography at our South Beach location in Miami, Florida. The South Beach neighborhood in Miami is a vibrant and diverse area in a city that is full of culture. Students are able to take advantage of the incredible Miami weather and landscape by scouting out locations throughout the city in which to film and shoot original projects.

Bi-Coastal Experience

New York Film Academy degree programs are offered at our Los Angeles and South Beach campuses. Qualified students have the option of completing course work at the New York Film Academy in New York City in a one-year non-degree program and requesting that their course work be accepted for advanced standing in the bachelor's degree program at the Los Angeles campus. Students can also complete a one-year non-degree program at our South Beach campus and apply for advanced standing in a Los Angeles degree program. In order to do so, students must apply and be accepted to the degree program in Los Angeles. These students will take a modified course of study that will deliver the liberal arts and sciences courses during their studies in the Los Angeles and South Beach campuses with an adjustment to the progression of the classes in the major. This gives students the unique opportunity to learn their craft in both New York City, the heart of the independent film industry and international proving ground for actors, and in Los Angeles, amidst the great film studios in the worldwide entertainment capital.
