Film Arts at NYFA

Explore Film Arts at NYFA

Film Arts encompasses the components of making films, television shows, content, and digital media, including directing, writing, shooting, producing, post-production, as well as distributing and marketing.  At NYFA, students can explore Film Arts disciplines in Filmmaking, Producing, Screenwriting, Cinematography, Documentary Filmmaking, and Digital Editing, where they establish and strengthen the creative and technical skills needed to pursue ambitious goals in film, television, and entertainment. Through a hands-on, project-based approach, students create their own short films and content and collaborate on the films of their peers, giving them the opportunity to learn the filmmaking process from start to finish.
