Graduated from NYFA LA Campus in 2004

Manuel Garcia-Rulfo is an actor from Guadalajara, Mexico known for his roles as Mickey Haller in the hit Netflix series The Lincoln Lawyer, and Vasquez in The Magnificent Seven (2016).

Garcia-Rulfo made his acting debut in Mexico in the 2006 short film Valle de lágrimas (Spanish for “valley of tears”). A year later, he appeared in the film Maquillaje (“makeup” in Spanish), directed and written by Marcial Rios Salcido. In 2009, Garcia-Rulfo starred alongside Juan Pablo Campa and Alfredo Herrera in One for the Road.

Following a successful film and television career in Mexico, Garcia-Rulfo returned to the United States, appearing in nine episodes of From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series in 2014-15. He then starred alongside Denzel Washington, Chris Pratt, and Ethan Hawke in The Magnificent Seven (2016). In 2017, Garcia-Rulfo played Biniamino Marquez in the film Murder on the Orient Express, based on Agatha Christie’s novel of the same name and starring Kenneth Branagh, Penélope Cruz, and Willem Dafoe.

He subsequently appeared in six episodes of the Amazon original series Goliath in 2018. The same year, Garcia-Rulfo acted alongside Benicio del Toro, Josh Brolin, and Isabel Merced in the film Sicario: Day of the Soldado. Additionally, he appeared in the film Widows, starring Viola Davis, Michelle Rodriguez, and Elizabeth Debicki.

In 2019, Garcia-Rulfo starred alongside Ryan Reynolds and Mélanie Laurent in the film “6 Underground”. He then co-starred with Tom Hanks in the film Greyhound (2020). Other notable credits include A Man Called Otto (2022), Bandidos (2024). He currently stars in the Netflix original series The Lincoln Lawyer (2022-).

Other projects include leading the cast in Pedro Páramo (2024), and a role in Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025) opposite Scarlett Johansson.

ACTRESS
Graduated from NYFA NYC Campus in 2008

Eve Hewson made her feature film debut in The 27 Club (2008) and garnered early attention with roles in This Must Be the Place (2011) appearing opposite Sean Penn and Frances McDormand and Blood Ties (2013), before appearing alongside James Gandolfini in Enough Said (2013).

She earned wider recognition for her performances in cinematic projects like Steven Spielberg’s Bridge of Spies (2015) and the action reinvention Robin Hood (2018) opposite Taron Egerton and Jamie Foxx, and played the role of Anna Wetherell in the BBC’s adaptation of Eleanor Catton’s novel The Luminaries (2020). Hewson starred in John Carney’s musical drama Flora and Son (2023), performing her own guitar and vocal work, which premiered at Sundance.

Hewson transitioned into television with a standout role as Nurse Lucy Elkins on Steven Soderbergh’s The Knick (2014–2015). She has taken on leading roles in acclaimed limited series: Anna Wetherell in The Luminaries (BBC, 2020), Adele Campbell in Netflix’s Behind Her Eyes (2021) and journalist Becka Garvey in Apple TV+’s Bad Sisters. Bad Sisters was nominated for four Emmys. She also starred in the Netflix series The Perfect Couple alongside Nicole Kidman.

Graduated from NYFA NYC Campus in 2004

James Friend is a British cinematographer, best known for his work on Edward Berger’s All Quiet on the Western Front, which earned him the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, in addition to the BAFTA Award for Best Cinematography.

In 2019, he won an ASC award for Patrick Melrose (2018), and also won a BAFTA TV award for Best Photography & Lighting: Fiction for Rillington Place (2016).

Friend is also known for his work on Willow (2022), Your Honor (2020), The Acolyte (2024).In 2024 Friend received an Honorary Fellowship from The Royal Photographic Society.
In 2025 he was the cinematographer on Ballad of a Small Player starring Colin Farrell and Tilda Swinson and Ghostwriter directed by JJ Abrams starring Jenna Ortega, Glen Powell and Samuel L. Jackson.
