Intensive Acting Course at NYFA’s Acting for Film School
In this rigorous workshop, students get an excellent introduction to the art of acting for film. Students learn the essentials of performance through scene study, voice, and movement, working in a collaborative, supportive environment.
Workshop DescriptionWorkshop Name: 3-Week Acting for Film Workshop
During our rigorous 3-Week Acting for Film Workshop, students complete projects and coursework in acting for film, scene study, audition technique, voice, movement, and monologues. No significant prior experience or knowledge is required to join the workshop, as the program brings everyone to the same level very quickly. The program begins with the fundamentals while also building on existing skills for those with prior experience.
NYFA also offers the possibility to learn acting for film from anywhere through a variety of online acting for film workshops.

The intensive three-week acting classes are available at NYFA’s satellite locations at Harvard and Paris.
Students finish a variety of projects in this comprehensive acting workshop, including a production workshop. In the production workshop, students participate in on-set shoots in collaboration with student filmmakers. To learn more, visit the acting for film projects page.
