Broadcast Journalism Workshops

Learn Digital Journalism and Broadcasting at NYFA

In NYFA’s Broadcast Journalism School workshops, aspiring journalists and content creators learn how to apply narrative storytelling to the news as they research, write, shoot, produce, and edit their own field reports, investigative segments, cross-platform nonfiction videos. In just a few weeks, students build confidence in their digital production, storytelling, and on-camera skills as they start to build their reel.

After completing a workshop, students have the flexibility to continue their education in digital journalism or pursue professional goals in the news, media, and entertainment industries.

Founded in collaboration with NBC News, our broadcast journalism workshops are available as full-time four and eight programs. To offer additional flexibility, students may also choose a part-time, twelve week program held in the evening. The workshops are held at NYFA New York, with remote workshops available on a seasonal basis.
