Jan Komasa is a Polish film director, screenwriter, and producer. Jan’s latest film, The Hater debuted in Tribeca’s 2020 Online Festival Program and won for Best Feature in the International Narrative Competition. It was recently released on Netflix. Streaming giant HBO is currently developing a series adaption of The Hater with Roy Lee and Dan Farah exec producing.

Komasa’s previous film, Warsaw ’44, took several prizes from international festivals and was nominated for a Polish Academy Award for Best Production Design, Editing, Costume Design, and Discovery of the Year. Previously, Jan was awarded the Bronze Horse at the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior for his film Suicide Room.

Jan’s latest film, The Hater debuted in Tribeca’s 2020 Online Festival Program and won for Best Feature in the International Narrative Competition. It was recently released on Netflix. Streaming giant HBO is currently developing a series adaption of The Hater with Roy Lee and Dan Farah exec producing.

Komasa’s previous film, Warsaw ’44, took several prizes from international festivals and was nominated for a Polish Academy Award for Best Production Design, Editing, Costume Design, and Discovery of the Year. Previously, Jan was awarded the Bronze Horse at the Stockholm International Film Festival Junior for his film Suicide Room.
