His recent work, SED (2024), was an official selection at the 2025 Chicago Film Festival. Velásquez has also shot commercials for brands like L’Oréal Paris, Baileys, and DirectTV.

Mirchandani’s innovative approach in Neerja earned him the Filmfare Award for Best Cinematography in 2016. His cinematographic expertise extends to various films, including Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012), Lootera (2013), and the anthology Lust Stories (2018), where he contributed to the segment directed by Karan Johar.
