Learn Television, Media, and Film Editing at NYFA
NYFA’s Digital Editing programs equip aspiring visual storytellers with practical digital editing techniques. The programs primarily focus on teaching students the art and craft of storytelling using Avid Media Composer, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and DaVinci Resolve, the leading digital editing software in the film industry.
Our workshops are a great fit for aspiring filmmakers and content creators who want to enhance their technical skillset or professionals in media, social media, and advertising who wish to gain experience in content creation.
Currently, NYFA offers part-time, twelve-week evening, and four-week full-time digital editing workshops in NYC and Los Angeles, as well as online workshops, allowing students to choose the program duration that best fits their availability. All of our workshops follow a curriculum that balances hands-on practical training and lectures.

The 12-Week Evening Avid Digital Editing Workshop is a part-time program held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday evenings. There may be some classes on Wednesday evenings. Projects include a short narrative scene, a montage, a short documentary, and a social media project.

In addition to our in-person workshops, NYFA has a variety of online digital editing workshops. These workshops are a great fit for content creators and filmmakers who want to gain experience creating their own films and editing footage from the comfort of their own home.
The 15-Week Online Digital Editing With Adobe Premiere Pro is a part-time program on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. There is an additional class on Wednesday evenings for weeks 14 and 15. Projects may include a montage, a short documentary, a dialogue project, and cutting a reel.
